Srikakulam/Berhampur(Special Opinion)As per report due to spread of COVID-19 till now total death in Andhra Pradesh 31 out of 1016 are under treatment. Srikakulam which did not have a single case till date, has reported 3 cases today morning identified from the Patapatam mandal, the boarder village between Srikakula & Ganjam.Two Doctors working in the Government General Hospital in Kurnool district and a Police Sub-Inspector in Vijayawada city tested positive for caronavirus and in Vijayawada with a Police Sub-Inspector,60 persons are kept under quarantine.The latest surge in the state is from Krisha district with 25 cases, followed by Kurnool with 14 new cases. Anantapur district reported 5 cases, Kadapa and Nellore districts reported 4 cases each, while East Godavari, Guntur and Srikakulam districts reported 3 cases each.This is the first time that COVID-19 cases have been detected today in Srikakulam district.Near by district Vizianagaram had not reported a single case till date.On Thursday, the state had conducted 6306 tests, of which, 62 cases tested positive. Similarly, on Wednesday, 6520 tests were conducted and 81 cases were positive. Similarly in Odisha State total 103 cases detected including today’s 2 from Bishra of Sundargarh & 1 from Rourakela as well as in Telegana 26 death and 991 confirmed cases.One another case reported from Berhampur one software engineer of Ganjam district who was working in a multinational company in Hyderabad, died of COVID-19 infection.The 33-year-old engineer of Ganjam district was married in January after which the couple lived in Hyderabad. His wife is now in quarantine as reported.
